WIDSETS v3.0 AVAILABLE! - DEVELOPER CONTENT TRANSFER ON 16th!

We are now live with the new version of WidSets, the 3.0.

What this means for developers is described on the previous announcement containing FAQ.

The most important changes are that there now is only one mobile client for everybody using WidSets, and that you will have the possibility of publishing your widgets directly to the Library as Beta widgets, without need to issue a request or anything.

Also, all of the developer offering will be available for you at Forum Nokia from 16th on. This includes Wiki, Discussion board, API docs and SDK download.

IMPORTANT: The new SDK will be for you to download from Monday the 16th. This includes documentation of new features plus example code.

Discussion forums

We are moving these discussion boards to the Forum Nokia on 16th June. Everything will continue from a "clean table" (a legacy discussion board transcript will be provided by means or other).

This is the correct place to continue with development discussions:

It's already possible to start new threads with Forum Nokia account. If you do not have one, apply for it on the main page at http://www.forum.nokia.com.

Reminder of our coding contest: there are still valuable weeks left for you to code some widgets. Remember that we will reward all good work and nice cool widgets as well as we will do that when the competition period has ended, 30th June.

So, use these remaining weeks to build your widgets, publish anything you have created as Beta widgets to receive community comments and user feedback - take the most benefit out of this new great possibility!

Build up your image within WidSets and Forum Nokia, it definetly will be worth it! :)

We are more than interested of hearing about any development related problems or issues you may have after these upgrades. So please do report any problems to us as soon as you notice them.
